William A. Carey, Pioneer, Passed Away Tuesday
William A. Carey, Born July 4, 1840, passed away April 12, 1927. He was born on what is now the Becker farm and lived all his life in Charleston township. In October 1863 was married to Susan Ann Stillwell and went to live on the farm where he passed away, living there 62 years. Mrs. Carey passed away in February, 1925. He leaves a 1 daughter, Mrs. Frank L. Davis and a son Frank Carey. The funeral was held at E. S. Wilson’s Funeral Home, this afternoon at two o’clock, and burial took place at Hartwell Cemetery. Rev.
