Born Anna Nellie Ingelthaler in Chicago, IL. Her first husband was an Anderson and he was in the military. We know of one son living in San Bernadino,CA.

Anna returned to Chicago many times to visit family. Around the late 1940's early 1950's, after her first husband died she met my great grandfather, Frank Josef Berkovec whose wife had also passed away several years before. They hit it off and had a marvelous time, partying, dancing, cooking, laughing and just enjoying each others company. They married in the early 1950's returned to Southern California.

In late 1958 she was found to have advanced breast cancer. By the following spring life was very bad for her and sad for my great grandfather. The last months of her life she lived with her son, as my grandfather could care for her no longer.

She passed October 1,1959. My great grandfather returned to Chicago and he passed in January of 1961.

Two people who had great first marriages and families, were able to find love again during their senior years. The letters to my mother from them tell the story, the laughter and fun and then the extreme sadness.

Thank you for finding her headstone.
