He was born Nov 7, 1861 in Shofde, Sweden but had (can't read) in Manistique for several years. For a number of years he was employed as a woodsman by the Chicago Lumber Company. His marriage to Hanna Lindstrom took place at Thompson July 1, 1897. Mrs. Johnson passed away 10 years ago.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter. They are H.A. Johnson of Janesville, Wis; Elmer Johnson of Jackson, MI and Mrs. Arthur Springs of Edgewater, Conn.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home, Rev. C W Wble (sp?) officiating. Burial was made in Lakeview Cemetery under direction of Sven Johnson, Pallbearers were John Nelson, Charles Gustafson, Omer Schuster, Louis Crosby, Otto Sandstrom and Frank Sanderg.
