Joseph Merle Toy, 63, of Adrian RD 1, died Saturday 3:15 p.m. at the Veterans Administration (Deshon) Hospital, Butler. Born July 27, 1913 in Washington Township, he was the son of Earl and Dollie (Hooks) Toy. Toy was a retired employee Roadway Express Company, Akron, Ohio. He was a member of American Legion Post, Cowansville, and VFW Post of Kittanning. Besides his mother, who resides at Adrian RD 1, he survived by a daughter, Leona D. Martin of Tallmadge, Ohio; a son, Joseph Merle Wilhelm, Ford City; three brothers, Clyde and Andrew, both of Adrian RD 1, and Sidney of Kittanning RD 7; six sisters, Lucille Toy, Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Rebecca Tenny, Mrs. Clara Quintrell and Mrs. Mary Chitty, all of Akron, Ohio, Nancy Alexander, of Kittanning and Mrs. Sallie Kinter, Salsburg, Md.; and five grandchildren. TOY - Friends of Joseph Merle Toy, who died June 18, 1977, may call at the Walter G. Snyder Funeral Home, Cowansville from 3 to 5 and to 9 p.m. Monday. Service be conducted at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Nick Metrakoudes, pastor of the Grace Baptist Church of East Franklin Township and the Rev. James Stocker, pastor of the Adrian Assembly of God Church. Burial will take place in Croyle Cemetery, East Franklin Township. Arrangements by Snyder of Cowansville.
