James D. Fisher, 77 years, of Arlington, NE passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at his home.

James was born on December 19, 1945 to Harry and Opal Fisher in Omaha, NE.

He grew up in Omaha and graduated from North High School, class of 1965.

On September 9, 1967, James married Jean Bitcon at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Omaha.

He worked as a manager at Hinky Dinky in Omaha for many years and later worked at Bergan Mercy in Omaha.

In 1999, James and his wife moved to Arlington, NE.

James was a Boy Scout leader for several years and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Omaha for over 50 years.

James was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Shirley and Carol.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Scott Fisher and Steven (Mindy) Fisher; and grandchildren, Riley and Gavin.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church in Omaha. Father Tom Weisbecker will officiate.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at church.

Burial will take place the Arlington Cemetery at Arlington, NE.
