• Services for the Rev. Reavy Ray Aycox, 84, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16 2002, at the South West Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. Jay Aycox officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Rev. Aycox was born Aug. 27, 1917, in Hennepin, Okla., to G.C. and Nola Brooks Aycox. He died March 14, 2002, at the Ardmore hospital.
A retired ordained minister, he had lived in Ardmore the past 34 years and was a member of Southwest Pentecostal Church of God. He and Maudie Lorene Davidson were married on Sept. 5, 1939, in Haskell, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 16, 2001; his parents; a son, Kenneth; two brothers, William L. and Everett Aycox; and a sister, Gracie Carter.
Survivors include four daughters, Ruby Aycox of Ardmore, Ivon Haworth and husband, Don, also of Ardmore, Lanell Beauchamp and husband, Joe, of Clinton, Mary Owen and husband, John, of Madill; two sisters, Faye Schofield of Flint, Mich., and MaryLee Reed of Zepherhill, Fla.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Allen Haworth, Larry Owen, Jerry Dollins, Denny Taylor, Raymond Hernandez, Everett Aycox and Jimmie Debord.
Griffin Funeral Home will direct services.
