For Dad ~ Raymond Hugh Beaty ~ Welcome Home

Beyond a time and to a place I go
All cavalrymen know
It's Fiddlers' Green ~ as real as any dream
And to this place I go

Beyond myself and all I know
I'm shown this one is low
Now~ show me where the sailors sing
And cavalry ride
The full moon lights the rapid tide
And what has died is now alive

Tomorrow is another day
I'll hold my banner long
In the world where I belong
And when you call I trust I'll hear
From among the boldest and the best
My head upon a mossy breast
In Fiddlers'Green
With more peace than I've ever seen
And living is the dream

So Fly with the Thunderbeings true
When the starlight covers you
The hill and dell ~ fare thee well fare thee well
Rebirth again to walk upon this earth

From the Green a sweet song is heard
A bagpipe and the underword
Telling me just Fly like a bird

Where the mountains and the sea merge
(Flown into the tone tone tone
Welcome home welcome home)
An Eagle calls at dusk
I trust its' watchful eye
Will see me strong and true
Living life to the fullest
While you just rest your head
Upon the mossy breast
In Fiddlers' Green this morning
