He honorably served our nation in the U.S. Navy during World War II and truly loved his country. He loved and cherished his wife of 60 years, Aleta Jo Vass, and taught her the meaning of love as well as his entire family. His greatest joy was asking people if they knew Jesus Christ as their personal Savior; if not, he would quickly introduce them. He enjoyed fishing, boating and tending to his livestock. He enjoyed being around his family and called anyone who would listen to him his friend.
Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Aleta Jo Vass; son, Robert "Tim" Vass and wife, Glenda; grandson, Aaron Vass and wife, Sharon; and great-grandson, William Robert Vass.
