OBITUARY
G. W. Inskeep, son of David S. and Christy V. Inskeep, was born on a farm near Seymour, Iowa, Sept. 7, 1879, and departed from this life at his home, 1821 Drake Avenue, Centerville, Iowa, Wednesday 8 a.m., April 30, 1941, at the age of 61 years, 7 months and 23 days. He had been in ill health for several years and died suddenly of a heart attack. He was married at Plano, Iowa, April 30, 1902, to Minnie Ethel Jones, who survives him, and five children: one son, Delbert S., of Norfolk, Ark.; four daughters, Mrs. Wayne Cowan, Cincinnati, Iowa, Mrs. Lois Shultz, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mrs. Alice Guffey, Centerville, Iowa, and Mrs. Thelma Finn, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He leaves one sister, Miss Lena J. Inskeep of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and only remaining member of the immediate family. He also leaves fourteen grandchildren: Jack, Kermit, Gerald, Gene, Nora, Ethel and Margie Cowan, James, Mary June and Jerry Guffey, Dwight and Dale Inskeep, Betty Jo and Judith Lois Finn.
He believed in the invisible church of God of which Christ is the head and we are members of the body, each one set for his own mission.
It can be said of him like the Patriarchs of old, that he fought a good fight and finished the work that the master had sent him to do. And there is therefore laid up a crown of glory, which the righteous Lord shall give to those who love his appearing. Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth; Yea, saith the spirit that they may rest from their labours; and their good works do follow them.
Words cannot express our appreciation to our friends for their sympathy and deeds of kindness extended to us in our bereavement. We also appreciate the lovely floral offerings.
Funeral services were held from the home Friday afternnon with H. E. Trimble officiating. Burial was in the home cemetery near Seymour, Iowa.

(the 1880 & 1900 census gives his mother's name as Charity).
