Eva Friesen, 85, long time panhandle resident died Friday, May 22 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born in Kansas to Henry and Agnes Franz on Feb. 3, 1902. She was united in marriage to D. B. Friesen at Corn, OK., May 8, 1927. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1962.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church at Adams.

Following her marriage to D. B. Friesen, she moved to the Adams Community where she made her home since that time.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Herwanna Jean Friesen; one grandson, Michael Friesen; three brothers, Henry, George and John Franz; two sisters, Anna Klassen and Suzie Fast.

She is survived by one son, Elden of Hooker; two daughters, Josephine Mitchell, of Albuquerque, N. M. and Alforetta Friesen of Bethany, Ok.; seven grandchildren and one great grandson; one brother, Jake Franz, of Wichita Kansas.; and one sister Elizabeth Reimer, of Corn.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26 at 10 a.m. from the Mennonite Brethren Church in Adams with Pastor Wilford Fadenrecht officiating. Interment will be in the Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Bros. Funeral home of Hooker.
