Bessie Mae Wood, 86, of Noble, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 1998, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Services were Tuesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Noble with Rev. Ed Frost officiating. Burial will be in Hanna Cemetery ir rural Noble.

Wood was born Dec. 2, 1911, in Richland County, the daughter of Clyde and Lou VAda (McCleary) Henry. She married Charles Taylor in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1978. She married Charles Howard Wood Feb. 24, 1979. He preceded her in death March 3, 1994.

She is survived by one son, Dick Taylor and his wife, Kay, of Noble; two sisters, Lois Pinkstaff, of Noble and Ruth Levine and her husband, Sidney, of Florissant, Mo.; two grandchildren, Scott Taylor and his wife, Sandra, of Noble, and Melanie Grube and her husband, Jeff, of Georgetown, Inl.; three step-grandchildren, Cynthia Madsen, Dana Madsen and Suzan Jensen; five great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and a sister, Vera Henry.
