Bonnie Nugent McCarter, 70, of Amarillo died Friday, March 7, 2008.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon by Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Bonnie was born Nov. 6, 1937, in Binger, Okla., to James and Lonneta Carpenter. She stayed in Binger for the majority of her childhood before moving to Amarillo. While in Amarillo, Bonnie married Ray McCarter in 1989.

She loved to crochet, quilt and sew. Anything that had to do with needlepoint, Bonnie enjoyed and was exceptional at it. She loved all of her children as well as her grandchildren and was loved just as much in return. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and will be in her family and friends' hearts forever.

The family would like to express their sincere respect and gratitude to everyone at the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center as well as BSA Hospice for all they have done.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers.

Survivors include a daughter, Aneta "Sis" Canada and husband Gary of Amarillo; three sons, Boe Nugent, Wayne Nugent and wife Linda and Michael Nugent, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Mary Wallar and Elaine Cauderon and husband Manuel, all of Amarillo; her stepmother, Faye Morrison of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
