|Birth: ||Nov. 25, 1872|
|Death: ||Sep. 19, 1918|
Dr. T. Z. (Tom) Burton, formerly of Center, died at a sanitarium at Little Rock, Arkansas. His remains were returned for interment in Fairview Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife; mother, Mrs. C. L. Burton; and 5 sisters: Mrs. P. L. Sandel, Mrs. Ed Sanders, and Mrs. A. C. Holt, all of Center, Mrs. R. W. Caraway of Logansport, and Mrs. Perkins of Carthage.
"This makes the third death in the Burton family within about 18 months--three brothers, and all came to their death suddenly. About 18 months George Burton died suddenly in Fort Worth, and a little more than seven months ago Ace Burton was assassinated in El Paso by a Mexican. In each case the news of the death of the son was the first information that the relatives here had of their condition. All were brought here for burial and are at rest side by side in Fairview cemetery."
