Nathan is the youngest son of Hugh Allen 1784-1861 and Francis Morton Allen 1792-1849. He was born in Henry county, Indiana, 23 December 1832. He married Jemima Ellen Thompson Allen (1837-1903) on 7 November 1857, in La Porte county, Indiana. Records at the Marion, IN, public library, as well as his death certificate, show that he died 18 August, 1905, and is buried in the I.O.O.F. (Estates of Serenity) Cemetery in Marion, block 25, line 15, but the grave number is missing and there is no headstone.
