Graveside services for Rodney C. Winchester, 84, West Plains, were held on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Huddleston Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Winchester died at 12:07 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, in West Vue Nursing Center. He was born June 26, 1923, in ., to Benjamin and Ida Smith Winchester. On Nov. 20, 1943, he was married at Alton, Mo., to Pauline Watson. Mr. Winchester was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Air Force. Before his retirement, he was a truck driver, farmer and a member of the Teamsters Union. Mr. Winchester was of the Protestant faith. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Winchester, of the family home; three children, Carolyn Winchester of Springfield, Mo., Rodney E. Winchester and wife, Edith, of Caulfield, Mo., and Glenda Hunter and husband, Ronald of West Plains; grandson, Cody Winchester of West Plains; granddaughter, Dusty Winchester of Springfield, Mo., and several nieces and nephews. His parents, two brothers and three sisters precede him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Huddleston Cemetery and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
