Eldon H. Adams, 82 of New England died Aug. 18, 2001 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in New England, WV, son of the late Robert and Mary Greenburg Adams. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II. He was a member of Teamsters Local 175 and drove truck for Parkersburg Ice and Fuel, which later became known as Scott Lumber for 40 years. He was a member of New England Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Audra E. Adams; one daughter Jo Ann Hayes and her husband Paul of Wheeling; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.
He was preceded in death by two sons, William Beadle and Eldon Jr.; one brother Delbert Adams, and one sister, Lucille Herbershoff
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, the Rev. James Hamrick officiating. Burial in New England Cemetery with military graveside services by American Legion Post 15. Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. today.
