Abe Sauder of Madison died at his home there Saturday morning, October 14, 1944. He was past 90 years old and had been ill for some time. He was a pioneer stockman and farmer and lived in the Gridley community before moving to Madison.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the home and at the Apostolic Christian Church south of Lamont. The services were in charge of Henry Bahr of Gridley. Burial was in the cemetery beside the church.
