Henrietta was the daughter of Benjamin Green Decker, Sr & Clarissa Ann Pell. She was married to John Gregory. Children were: Cornelia Clara, Amelia Emma, Lydia Ellen, Alice Medora, Charles Reed, William H., John Laswell, Jesse Grant, Robert Lee, Thomas F. John & Henrietta were married in the mid 1850's. They later moved to Nebraska City, NB where they lived for few years and where three daughters were born, Cornelia, Amelia, & Lydia. Later in 1861 they joined a wagon train at St. Joseph, MO and came West in search of cheap farm land. Shortly after they arrived in California another Daughter, Alice was born. They filed for homestead on Willow Creek and their first son Charles was born there in 1864. On May 20, 1862 Henrietta filed on her own, on a homestead southeast of Montague behind the hill which is named for them. Lydia passed away in 1865 and was buried on the ranch behind the hill. Five more sons were born to them, William, John L., Jess, Lee & Thomas. She was widowed in 1872 and lived the rest of her life on the ranch.
