Funeral services for Earlin Wallace Peters, 67, a former resident of Gladwin, were held on Thursday in Eaton Rapids. Mr. Peters died on Sunday at a convalescent home in Parma, where he had been for the past month. He was born in Canada on June 20, 1886, coming to Gladwin at the age of one year.
His parents settled on a farm one mile north and one mile east of McClure. In 1903 he was married to Miss Edith Rose. They moved to Eaton Rapids in 1922 where he was an employee of Horner Woolen Mill for 25 years. In 1948 they moved to Tompkin Center, where they were residents at the time of his death.
Surviving are his wife, Edith; two sons, Delmer, of Tompkin Center and Corp. Wallace Peters of Ft. Riley, Kansas; three daughters, Mrs. Flossie McGlaughlin of Gladwin, Mrs. Iva Sebastian of Lakeworth, Florida, Mrs. Geneva Movers of Tompkin Center; also six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
