Lucy Gertrude Over, 96, of Sligo RD 1 died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in Franklin Hospital. Born March 27, 1886, in Licking Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Lutitia Klingler Rhea. She married Henry Carlton Over on June 3, 1908. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1957. A lifelong resident of Licking Township, she was a member of Callensburg United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Eastern Star, and the Clarion County Democratic Club. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Willis (Orpha) Elliott of Sligo RD1; and a nephew, Paul Rhea of St. Petersburg, Fla. She was preceded in death by eight brothers, John, Alvin, Harry, Delbert, Charles, William, Samuel, and Garret; and a sister, Orpha. Friends may call at the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo after 2 pm today. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today. Funeral services will be conducted there at 1 pm Friday with Revs. Ralph Cotton, pastor of Callensburg United Methodist Church, and Merwin Schwab, former pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Callensburg Cemetery.
