| Birth: | Oct. 5, 1848 | | Death: | May 21, 1901 |  J. Calvin Over, a well known citizen of Curllsville, died at his home in that place last Tuesday, May 21st, 1901, being 53 years of age. The deceased was born and reared in Piney township. In 1877 he was married to Miss Kate Fox of Monroe township and to them was born one daughter, Miss Lida, now about 17 years of age, who, with the wife of the deceased survive to mourn the loss of husband and father. He is also survived by four brothers and four sisters. Mr. Over moved to Curllsville about 18 years ago and resided there almost continuously ever since. He was one of the most upright of men, and enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all his neighbors. He has filled almost every office under the borough government to the entire satisfaction of his neighbors. He has been a devoted member of the Lutheran church for many years and has been an ardent and most faithful worker in Sunday school showing the possession of a broad Christian character.
