Lloyd G. Allpress was born August 13, 1911 near Jamison in Keya Paha County, Nebraska to Henry and Myrtle Allpress, and died September 23, 1980 at Burke, South Dakota at the age of 69 years.
He spent most of his life on his parents’ home place. Following four years of Air Force City, including a tour in Germany, he returned to the farm where he was in partnership with his brother Albert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bertha, brother Harry and children in infancy.
Among survivors are his sister Minnie Allpress, Pullman, Washington; three brothers, Albert of Jamison and Howard and Glenn of Naper, Nebraska; and other relatives.
