David Isaiah ARCHER was the son of
Eli A. ARCHER (born about 1800, died 1839 in Screven County) & his wife
Jane (born about 1805, died after 1839).

David Isaiah ARCHER was the nephew of the elder
David ARCHER (born 1790-1800, dead by 1832), the second husband of Mary THORN CARRUTHERS ARCHER SOUTHWELL, "Polly," and the nephew of
Sabina ARCHER (1800-1883), the second wife of Silas MORTON.

In 1855, David's siblings were
Thomas K. ARCHER of Effingham County (born 1823-1825, died about 1873, became the second husband of Elizabeth Julia J. BRANNEN GRAHAM in 1864 - he was the father of James Frank ARCHER (1866-1894),
James E. ARCHER Sr. of Effingham County (1826-1876, married Mary Ann BEST in 1847),
Miles L. ARCHER of Effingham County (born about 1834, died 1870-1880, married Georgia ELKINS in 1865),
Ann ARCHER WOODS of Screven County (born about 1834, died 1862-1865, became the first wife of William Washington WOODS in 1848), and
Amanda Frances ARCHER of Chatham County (died 1858).

David married, first Sarah Elizabeth LEE in 1848, and then Sarah Elizabeth HODGES in 1865.

By his first wife, David was the father of:
Victoria Elizabeth ARCHER (1851-1928), the wife, first of Edwin A. MORGAN, and then of John Joseph HARRISON,
Virginia M. ARCHER (1851-1880),
Gilbert M. ARCHER (born 1855, settled in Ware County), who married Elizabeth Palmel SMITH in 1878,
Frank ARCHER (born about 1857), and
Frances Henrietta ARCHER (1858-1923), who married James Robert DALEY in 1875.

By his second wife, David was the father of
Warren C. ARCHER (born 1866-1867),
Florance ARCHER (born about 1868),
Walton Catherine ARCHER, "Kate" (born 1870),
Homer F. ARCHER (born about 1872),
Hattie ARCHER (1873-1967) the wife of James Wesley LEE,
Mattie ARCHER (born 1875, died after 1900), and
an infant son (1880-1881).

Service record: Screven County, Georgia "Brown Light Infantry" 1st Company G 25th Regiment GA Volunteer Infantry (this company was successively designated 2nd Company C, and 2nd Company F): Private - August 8, 1861. Discharged by civil authority August 15, 1862. He enlisted in Company A, 2nd Battalion, Georgia Cavalry on 8 Sep 1862, at Savannah, Georgia
