Obituary of Warren E. Oller published in the Taylorville Breeze-Courier on Sunday, February 24, 2008:


Warren Eugene "Bud" Oller, 87, of Morrisonville passed away at 10:05 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008 in Taylorville Care Center.

He was born October 29, 1920 in Nokomis, the son of Charles and Sadie Weathers Oller. He married Marguerite LaVene Durbin on August 24, 1939 at St. Mary's Rectory in Taylorville. She preceded him in death. Mr. Oller was a professional truck driver. He was Mayor of Palmer for 16 years and a founding trustee of the Morrisonville-Palmer Fire Protection District. His members include St. Maurice Catholic Church, Leslie Reddick American Legion Post 721, Teamsters, past president of the Bear Creek Community Club and Knights of Columbus Council 1151. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Surviving are his sons: Patrick (wife Cindy) Oller of Palmer, Edward (wife Ruth) Oller of Springfield and Dennis (wife Shari) Oller of Morrisonville; daughters: Mary (husband Carl) Prose of Streamwood, Illinois, Gloria (Bill) Ovington of Morrisonville, and Susan (husband Tyrone) Poleon of Palmer; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters; Barbara "Bobbie" Meier of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Betty (husband Bob) Zierfuss of Machesney Park, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson, Nick Oller, granddaughter, Latasha Ovington, four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, in Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home, Morrisonville with Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, in the funeral home.
