There is conflicting information as to the birth date and place of Wesley Bohrer. Wesley's birth year has been shown in family trees as 1811 as well as 1817. His siblings were born in Ohio which would make sense that he was possibly born in Ohio. However, some family trees show his birth being in Kentucky. Source documentation would be valuable.

The first murder that ever occurred in the county was that of Wesley Bohrer, who was murdered by Samuel Huffman, in 1846 seventeen years after the organization of the county.

Wesley and his wife, Elizabeth Travis Bohrer, also had a son John W. Bohrer (abt 1841-1884) who is not listed as a child because his grave has not been identified. Elizabeth remarried Edward Craycroft after Wesley's death.
