Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Williams, 85, for many years a resident of the Scuffletown neighborhood, southwest of Lewisburg, and related to a number of local people, died Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orville Stanton, of Eaton. Complications were said to have caused her death.
Mrs. Williams was a native of Montgomery County, but spent most of life in Preble county. She was the widow of the late Samuel Williams.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Eaton Church of Christ, followed by burial in Sugar Grove cemetery at Lexington.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Stanton of Eaton and Mrs. Maude Davis of Columbus; one son, Edward Williams of near Greenville; one half-brother, Marion Loxley of Lewisburg; and a number of nephews and nieces, including Russell Loxley, M.C. Bierly, E.J. Bierly and Mrs. V.O. Rookstool.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the North Barron street Church of Christ with Rev. G.T. Thomas officiating. Burial was made in the Sugar Grove cemetery at Lexington.
