Susan Jane Elder Anderson, the daughter of Robert Elder and Jenny Putt, was born on November 24, 1832 in Grayson County, Kentucky. She was the second wife of Reason "Rezin" Anderson, the son of William Anderson and Sarah Willis. He was born on May 26, 1816 in Grayson County, Kentucky.
Reason Anderson's first wife was Sarah Ann Clagett, the daughter of Charles Clagett and Rebecca Gay. She was born in Grayson County on June 26, 1822 and died there on February 10, 1843. They were the parents of:

Susan Jane Anderson died on April 21, 1909. She was buried in what is now the Elder-Anderson Cemetery when it was called the Elder-Woosley Cemetery. It is located by the Caney Creek United Baptist Church south of Caneyville, Grayson County, Kentucky.
