Mrs. H.H. Tinker Dead
Henry Kayler received a telegram Wednesday of last week announcing the death of his wife's mother, Mrs. H.H. Tinker. She had gone to California at the close of the summer hotel season to visit her daughters and regain her health if possible. The climate there was too damp and it was decided that she should go to Arizona and Tuesday of last week Mr. Tinker left to join her and take her to Arizona, but arrived too late. She was a good wife and mother and highly respected.

Mrs. Nancy Hannah Tinker, daughter of Dr. Z.S. Bryant, was born in Iowa, July 30, 1847. In 1849 Dr. Bryant moved to Montgomery County, Indiana, and in the spring of 1852 crossed the plains with an ox team to the then territory of Oregon, settling on a donation land claim near Taylor's Ferry, in Washington County.

In the spring of 1860 they moved to Clatskanie, Oregon. In the spring of 1862 they moved to Marshland, Oregon where Mrs. Tinker was married to H.H. Tinker in 1873, nearly 30 years ago. In 1881 Mr. Tinker and family came to their present home at Long Beach and have raised a family of seven children, all of whom are living except one.

Mrs. Tinker had two brothers and three sisters, one of whom, Mrs. Robert Humes, wife of Robert Humes, the first cannery man on the Columbia River died about 26 years ago. The other brothers and sisters are as follows; Z.A. Bryant and Milton O. Bryant of Minnesota; Mrs. Mary Lingenfelter of Walla Walla and Mrs. Jane Elliott of Marshland.
