SHUMAN, John "Frank" F., 95, of Paden City, W.Va., died Sunday, February 10, 2008, at his daughter's residence in Peru, Indiana.

Frank was born May 3, 1912 in Wileyville, W.Va., the son of the late John F. and Bertie Gorby Shuman.

He was a former employee of the Pottery Glass of Paden City; a retired employee of Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio; a member of the American Legion Post No. 86 of Paden City; served in the Aleutians Islands with the US Army during WWII; and a member of the Paden City Church of Christ.

He loved West Virginia, the Mountains and Carney Run.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 year, Stella Wright Shuman, in 2006; three sisters, Belle, Nell and Corrine; and a special nephew, Howard.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Allen of Peru, Ind.; grandson, Dr. Jonathon Allen of Knoxville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 3-7 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Jarvis Funeral Home, Paden City, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 with Morris Hafley officiating.

Interment in Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City.
