Death Claims Minnie A. Ipe

Resident of Centralia for 25 Years Passes Away in Hospital After Stroke

Mrs. Minnie A. Ipe, aged 77, passed away early this morning in a local hospital following a stroke. Born at Blue Mounds, Wis., she came to Centralia 25 years ago, engaging in the apartment and lodging business and later operating a maternity home for 20 years until illness forced her to retire. The family home is at 1024 H street.

Surviving the deceased are her husband, W. E. Ipe; son, W. S. East, Hartford, Conn.; foster-son, C. Alexander, Centralia; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Helmenstine, in Wisconsin, and Mrs. Kate Hollister and Mrs. Tye Ivey, in Iowa; four brothers, Richad and Sherman Wade, in Wisconsin; John in South Dakota, and William in Montana; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Newell-Hoerling chapel, Rev. Hollis Grubb officiating and burial being at Mountain View.
