• Services for Maudie Lorene Aycox, 78, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Southwest Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. Don Waters officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery of Ardmore.
Mrs. Aycox, wife of the Rev. Reavy Ray Aycox, was born Oct. 5, 1922, in Delhi, Okla., to James and Maude Brown Davidson. She died May 16, 2001, at her home.
She lived in Ardmore 34 years and was a member of the Southwest Pentecostal Church of God, a registered nurse and licensed minister. She also was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She and her husband were married on Oct. 5, 1939, in Haskell, Texas.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Aycox is survived by daughters, Ruby Aycox and Ivon Haworth and husband, Don, of Ardmore, Lanell Beauchamp and husband, Joe, of Clinton and Mary Owen and husband, John, of Madill; a brother, James Leroy Davidson, of Fort Worth, Texas, seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.,
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, and two sisters, Verna Fite and Ruby Nash.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Griffin Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial gifts to Ardmore Dialysis Center, 1202 Merrick Dr., or Southwest Pentecostal Church of God, 1004 C St. SW.
Bearers for services and interment will be Allen Haworth, Larry Owen, Denny Taylor, Brian Roberts, Raymond Hernandez and Jerry Dollins.
Service arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
