William Charles Adams, Jr. was the first child and son born to William Charles and Marcell Johnson Adams, in Dallas, Texas.
Chuckie, as he was known, had one sister, Marcia Gail, and five half-brothers and two half-sisters through his father. His mother had three other sons as well.
After his parents' divorce, his father obtained custody of both Chuckie and Gail, where they lived with him until they both graduated from Bryan Adams H.S. in Dallas. However, there were occasions when both he and Gail would have to stay with their grandparents. His grandmother Johnson loved him dearly, as did his Granny Adams. However, he lived with his Grandma Johnson more during the times when his father was working out of town with his sewing machine company. Grandma Lucille Johnson had given Chuckie the affectionate nickname, "Chuckie Rabbit," and he the same for her, "Grandma Rabbit."
Chuckie married his high school sweetheart, Denise Butler, at the Lovers Lane Methodist Church in Dallas in 1974. However, they divorced a few years later, but remained good friends afterwards.
Chuckie loved to scuba dive, ride motorcycles and fly airplanes, either a model or real. He received his flying cerification on November 9, 1971, from the Dallas Garland Airport. He also loved his hunter green Dodge Charger.
Chuckie also loved to play the guitar and sing. He was very sentimenal and wrote several poems as well. He loved to sing kareoke music with his friends.
Chuckie loved his dad with all his heart, as his father did for him. He was his sidekick all his life. Tragically, Chuckie was also the co-pilot of his dad's plane on the morning of the accident, November 18, 1978. His father did not survive. Amazingly, Chuckie and his other brother did. However, Chuckie had severe lifelong complications for the next eight and half years of his young life.
On February 5, 1987, due to heart complications, Chuckie was "taken home" to be with his father, W. C. Adams, and Grandmother Adams, both who loved him dearly. He was only 33 years young. Gone too soon.
Chuckie is intered next to his maternal grandparents, Thomas "Bill" and Lucille Johnson, who also loved him with all their heart. He was their little "Chuckie Rabbit"
