Sarah Catherine BOYKIN, "Mesh," was the daughter of Barton L. BOYKIN & Sarah Emily ENECKS, and the second wife of Francis Marion WILLIAMS, "Frank". When Typhoid (or another disease) took both her father in 1858 & her mother in January of 1860, Barton's brothers took charge of her parents' six orphaned children. Her Uncle Tobias BOYKIN, "Byous," & his wife Asenith T. HODGES, "Asena" (who died in 1863) took Mesh into their home.

Sarah C Williams, who states DOB as July 25, 1847, has a CSA pension application on line. She says she married Francis Marion (Frank) Williams on Feb. 28, 1878. He enlisted in Company G of the 25th GA regiment and served until the unit surrendered in Greensboro, N.C. She gives his date of death as 11/17/1886 in Screven county. Her pension was not applied for or approved until April of 1933!
