AMORY - Frances Virginia Swan Camp, 94, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at her home after a long illness. She was born Dec. 8, 1913, in the Quincy community to Benjamin Franklin and Nancy Jane Pennington Swan.She lived in Birmingham, Ala., for 30 years before returning to Monroe County in 1972. She attended Amory schools. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She worked as a welder in Birmingham during World War II and she worked in area garment plants. She enjoyed bird watching, story telling, animals, sewing, quilting, cooking and gardening. She married Will Camp in 1933; he died in 1978. She married Henry Camp in 1982; he died in 1986.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bro. Wade Cook and Bro. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will be in Boggan Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Camp (Carol) of Saltillo and Jerry Camp (Nancy) of Amory; one daughter, Jane Hunter (Ed) of Amory; five grandchildren, William Gwin, Virginia Capps, Frank Camp, Jodie Cleveland and Jessie Camp; seven great-grandchildren, Bryant Camp, Chase Camp, Zeke Camp, Landon Camp, Kendall Isbell, Nick Isbell and Becky Capps.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and all he rbrothers and sisters, Dena Hathcote, Allic Stanford, Medie Woodruff, Bailey Swan, Whit Swan and Roscoe Swan.
Pallbearers will be William Gwin, Billy Capps, Frank Camp Jr., Dallas Cleveland, Dale Swan, Michael Swan, Tony Swan and Will Franke.
Visitation will continue until service time today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Boggan Cemetery, c/o Betty Dabbs, 219 6thSt. S., Amory, MS 38821.
