"Mrs. Eli Hicks, who had been seriously ill for more than a year, passes way Tuesday afternoon. The funeral services, conducted by the pastor Rev. H. E. Ridenour, were held at the Baptist church. The interment was in the Santa Fe Pond cemetery. The large congregation of friends and relatives who taxed the seating capacity of the spacious church building evidenced the popular esteem in which the deceased was held.
