Mrs. Ugolini was born in Carroll County, where she attended public schools. She was a former resident of Grenada until moving to Greenville in 1946. In 1947, she married Ray Ugolini and was a former operator with South Central Bell Telephone Company until 1949. In 1962, she became a nurse's aide at General Hospital and Delta Medical Center until retiring in 1984 after 22 years of service. She was a communicant at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Ugolini of Greenville; a daughter, Mary Ann (David) Wright of Edwards; three sons, Gerald Ugolini of Greenville, Harold Ugolini and Mimi Lingle of West Virginia and Barry (Debbie) Ugolini of Birmingham, Ala.; two sisters, Ann Overton of Columbus and Josephine Evans of Boyle; two brothers, Marvin Slayton and Bobby Slayton Jr., both of Greenwood; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by one grandson, Brandon Wright in 1991.
The family will receive friends today from 5 to 6 p.m., with a prayer service at 6 p.m., at Boone-Wells Funeral Home.
