GREER, SC - Horace Wilson Reece, 74, of 200 Reece Avenue, husband of Mary Pauline Powell, died August 30, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.
A native of Pickens County, son of the late Walter and Elvie Anderson Reece, he was a retired employee of Steel Heddle and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two sons, Eddie Reece and Danny Reece, both of Greer; one daughter, Kathy Gwinn of Greenville; one brother, Raymon Reece of Taylors; one sister, Lillie Mae Kelley of Duncan; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Dean Patton. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
