PICKENS, SC - January 4 - Henry Grady Nix, 48, died at his home this morning following a week's illness.
He was a native of Pickens County and a well known farmer. He was a member of the Secona Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow and the following daughters, Mrs. Jesse Durham, Misses Geneva and Bertha Nix; three sons, James, Clarence and Guy Nix; three sisters, Mrs. Molly McJunkins, Mrs. Lizzie Blackwell and Mrs. Maggie Stephens; two brothers, Arthur and Lynn Nix, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Secona Baptist Church Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. L. W. Pace in charge. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Allgood, Roy Scruggs, Riley Nix, Walter Seaborn, Alfred Turner and Carl Davis.
Deacons of the Secona Church will be honorary escorts.
The body is at the residence.
