Funeral services for Harriet M. Fleming were held Tuesday.
Born May 10, 1867, in Iowa, she moved with her parents to Vancouver, Wash., at the age of three. She came to Chelan in 1905.
She was united in marriage to George Beckman in Vancouver on February 4, 1883 and to this union five children were born. On October 19, 1895, she was married to Marion O. Fleming at Vancouver, and to this marriage four children were born. Mr. Fleming died at Leavenworth March 1, 1943.
She died Saturday, March 20 in a Leavenworth hospital following a short illness.
Surviving are four sons, Henry Beckman of Chelan, Dolph Dillion of Lorane, Ore., Forest Beckman of Chelan and Oren Fleming of Cheney; five daughters, Mrs. Lillie Charlton of Yakima, Mrs. Natalia Larsen of Battle Ground, Mrs. Hazel Hallowell of Kittitas, Mrs. Effie Wise of Leavenworth and Mrs. Rosezell Hollowell of Quincy; one brother, William Harris of Inchelium; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Staley of Yacolt, and Mrs. Olive Fleming, Mrs. Mary Bywater and Mrs. Don Mathers, all of Chelan; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
