Joe married and was divorced from Jane Johnson Jones, mother of his children. He was the father to Erin Jones Wheeler, Matthew and Timothy Jones. He was the proud grandfather to Jackson, Kenedy and Joshua Wheeler.

Joe worked in many different areas during his life. He loved working on his computer and worked at several jobs using his computer skills.

He is dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He loved visiting his family and always loved family reunions where he got to see everyone. He was always laughing and had a hug for all.

He survived a lot of health problems from the time he was in high school until his death. Sadly an unexpected heart attack took his life.
