Merkel - Funeral for Mrs. Lesley Beasley, 66, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Trent Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Beck of Shamrock officiating, and the Rev. Jim Sharp of New Deal assisting.
Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor died Wednesday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Born Sept. 6, 1903 at Trent, she married Lesley Beasley there on Aug. 11, 1929. She was a member of the Woman's Society for Christian Service, Chapter 212 of the Order of Eastern Star in Merkel and Trent Garden Club.
Mrs. Beasley was also a noted amateur painter in the area and her paintings hang in many homes in Trent.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Jerrell Shaw of Fort Worth and Mrs. C. W. Rosinbaum of San Angelo; a sister, Mrs. Allen Terry of Fort Worth; a niece, Mrs. Don Gossett of Fort Worth; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Clark Hamner, Lonnie Halbrooks, H. H. McLeod, A. H. Jeffries, Dow Williamson, Othell O'Kelley, John Boyd and Billie Joe Bowers.
