Irene Hartman, 88, of Richmond, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Beverly-Golden Rule after a short illness.

She was born Jan. 18, 1916, in Morgan County, Ky., to Robert and Brunette Sexton Lovely and lived in the Richmond area most of her life. She worked in children's day care.

Survivors include her three children, Sharon Ihrig of Oxford, Ohio, Larry Hartman of California and Mary Mitchell of Richmond; five grandchildren, Angi Bullock, Elisha Snyder, Jason Ihrig, Love Hartman and Christopher Hartman; three great-grandchildren, Alannah Bullock, Billy Bullock and Erika Ihrig; two sisters, Mary Reiker and Ruth Gross of Eaton; one brother, Bob Lovely of Jupiter, Fla.; nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Delbert Charles Hartman, died in 1957. Her parents and three sisters, Julia Peters, Quinnceta and Essie Hettinger, are deceased.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home, 222 N. 10th St., Richmond, with Rev. William Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery, Preble County, Ohio. Friends may call Monday 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
