The funeral Mass for Josephine "Jo" Lady will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Resurrection in Rochester, with the Rev. Thomas Loomis officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Lady, 92, of Eyota, formerly of Rochester and Austin, died of natural causes Thursday (Jan. 24, 2008) at Saint Marys Hospital.

Josephine Puettman was born Nov. 6, 1915, in Stacyville, Iowa. On June 24, 1937, she married Milton "Roy" Lady in Austin. For many years, she worked at Kinsmann Florist in Austin. After moving to Rochester in 1962, she worked for Clothing Care Center, retiring in 1978. She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing crossword puzzles and playing cards.

Survivors include a son, Mason of Rochester; and two sisters, Clara King of Austin and Loretta Krebsbach of Stacyville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, a brother and eight sisters.

Friends may call an hour before the service at Resurrection Catholic Church.

Macken Funeral Home of Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
