Words are never adequate when expressing sympathy for such profound loss. But, I do want to share that Chad was a light to so many – he always had an encouraging word and an easy laugh that he graciously shared no matter what he was experiencing himself. Thinking of all of you, and sending you thoughts and prayers. Chad was a wonderful person, and I had the opportunity to work with him for many years at UBT. He impacted many lives, and will be greatly missed.--Steph Ledbetter

Chad took time to answer my emails on my questions about security at Union Bank, and he even invited me to come to his office to explain to me behind closed door at Pine Lake East years ago. He knew who I was and communicated well as I am deaf. To me, he was Mr. UBT or the face of the UBT, very much in the mold of personality projection matching Angie Muhleisen and her philosophy about UBT customer service.--John Stepp

I will miss Chad's good morning greetings, as he was always so positive and upbeat. Chad shared everything he knew, and he would go out of his way willing to help with anything. One of the kindest, patient, and most generous people have had the pleasure of knowing and work with, he was an open book. Ours prayers and thoughts are with your family and friends.--Greg Wasson

Chad was an all-around great guy that I was proud to know, much like all the rest of his family. He will be missed. Prayers to everyone in the family.--Joe Loxterkamp

As a vendor working with UBT we often talked with Chad. He was a wonderful guy to work with! Patient, kind, positive and unassuming. He will be missed. We all at SMPBM are sending thoughts and prayers to Chad's family.--Angela Paolini

My mother Sandra and I extend our deepest prayers and sympathies to all of you. It was a beautiful privilege to have known Chad growing up,…. Sharing my earliest memories of Chad was a love of baseball and an ongoing 5 cent bet I had with him over the Dodger-Yankee meetups,…he of course took his Beloved Dodgers of the time. And playing endless hours of pitch or table top football throughout middle school and high school. Chad had no boundaries of friendship and a wonderful sense of humor growing up and obviously lived a full life, although way too short, We join you in sorrow and prayers.--Sherilyn (Batterman) Durso

Chad was a blessing to his parents, wife Cathy his sister Kim and his children, what a wonderful being so caring and loving! I remember babysitting you on occasion when you young, and I didn't know what an amazing man you would grow up to be, may you Rest In Peace my dear cousin and May all the wonderful memories you left for your family and friends help to ease their pain. God has gained an angel --Londa Maron

I was fortunate enough to have taught Chad (and his sister Kim) at Bridgeport. From the sounds of things, he never steered away from the incredible human being he was already in high school. I want his children and his wife to know what a great guy he was, even just growing up as a teenager. He was wonderful to coach in competitive speech, too! He made good choices, worked hard, treated others well … and still had loads of fun! My life is truly better for having known him. I pray God's grace comforts you all.

Chad , always put family first, he was a awesome husband , Father and son
I didn't get the pleasure to growing up with him and sister Kim . But when we do come to Bridgeport for vacation or the Gusman reunion at Aunt Kathleen ranch . All of us cousins got to hang out ,Chad was the one who always remember things that we had done last time we where altogether good times. That's Chad always remember the good times when the cousins are around, and making homemade ice cream at his parents house for cookouts or at Loxterkamp's farm for Aunt LaDonna.
Chad , Rest In Peace my cousin the good lord , has awesome angel
Our thoughts and prayers are with Cathy, and Lauren and Nathan, Uncle Leo and Aunt Carolyn, and rest of the family.

Cathy and family, No words can express my sympathy at your profound loss. Treasure all of your memories and take care of yourselves! I will continue to pray for your peace and comfort. May God Bless you all!

Cathy, Lauren and Nate,
I am so sorry for your loss, Chad lived his life loving all of you so very much. He was a good true man that mirrored his faith. Taken way too soon, but I think God must have needed him in heaven. It's hard to let the good ones go and please know that your family and friends are near. May we all live by the example he has shown us.--sarah talbert

Chad my friend, I already miss you. We shared so much in our youth. From October birthdays, First Communion, Father Max's 15 minute Saturday Masses, Coach Karcher's Ribbon Wrestling, Bridgeport Football and finally our love for Husker Football. Goose was the first to inform me that I actually had to apply to college. Man, that would have been awkward showing up to school without an acceptance. He was the first in our class to visit colleges to see which one fit him best. He was always in the know – not a procrastinator. Chad could answer most any question thrown his way. Chad, your passing has left me with so many questions. Glad you will be there to help me out when I reach your destination! Prayers to all his family.--James Jensen
