Waterloo Evening Courier and Reporter/New Hartford--June 10, 1914: Mrs. David Ackerson, aged 96 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Perry Card, Saturday afternoon, June 6th of the infirmities of old age.

Mrs. Ackerson was one of the pioneers of Butler County, coming here with her husband and family in 1856, and had been a continuous resident here since that time. The funeral will be held today at the house.

Interment at Oakhill Cemetery at New Hartford.

Lucinda Ackerson died 6 June 1914, at 3 PM at Albion Township, Butler County, Iowa. She was female, white, widowed, born 14 March 1818, at Ohio, died at age 96 years, 2 months, 19 days. She was a housekeeper. Her father and mother were unknown with no place of birth listed for either.
