George Tillman "Tim" Dalton of Esther became ill at the noon hour while working for St. Joseph Lead Co., Thursday, September 28 and was pronounced dead from a heart attack.
Son of the late James and Dovie Ann Miller Dalton, he was born in Mine La Motte on April 19, 1905. He is survived by his wife, the former Julia Reese and four children: Mrs. Melvin (Anna Lea) Robinson, Crystal City; Mrs. Arthur (Retta Mae) Pyatt, and Mrs. Daniel (Georgia) Hoehn, Esther and Harold J. Dalton, Flat River. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two brothers, Edgar Dalton, California and Rudolph Dalton, Rivermines; three sisters, Mrs. Ed (Aline) Chandler, Esther and Mrs. Orville (Jewel) Glore and Mrs. Tony (Faye) Jersek, St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.
The body was in state at Caldwell Funeral Chapel in Flat River. Services were held at the Hurryville Baptist Church Saturday afternoon with Rev. James Barker officiating. Interment was in Hillview Memorial Gardens.
