William Wallace Johnstone was a prolific American author, mostly westerns, horror and survivalists novels. He was born and raised in Missouri. Johnstone started writing in 1970, but didn't have anything published until 1979. He wrote close to two hundred books in numerous genres, including suspense and horror. His main series were Mountain Man, The First Mountain Man, Ashes and Eagles. He became a full-time writer in 1980.
