Leroy "Lee" Nease, 72, of Idaho Avenue, East Liverpool, Ohio, died suddenly, Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at his home.
He was born November 25, 1935 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the son of the late, John Lewis Nease & Mura Edith (Wright) Wright.
Living his entire life in the area, Mr. Nease retired in 1982 from the former Crucible Steel Mill in Midland, Beaver County, Pennsylvania where he worked as a shipper. He was a U.S. Army Veteran & a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, Post #66 in East Liverpool.
Left to mourn his death are three daughters, Carrie Eckstein & her husband, David, with whom he resided; Myra Camp of St. Petersburg, Florida, & Penny Rice of Lisbon, Ohio.
A brother, Jerry Keith Wright & his wife Ruth of Salem also survive as well as seven grandchildren; Stephen W. Camp, Jr., Kristin E. Camp, Austin G. Rice, Nicholas S. Rice, David T. Eckstein, Joshua L. Eckstein and Andrew J. Eckstein & his former wife, Jeannette M. (Allmon) Nease of East Liverpool, whom he married on June 6, 1959.
Besides his parents, a sister Margaret (Wright) Miller, a granddaughter, Kristin M. Camp & his step-father, Hilbert Wright, preceded him in death.
Services were held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008. Rev. Norman Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church, officiated.
Burial followed in Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Tri State Burial Group and the Honor Guard of the West Virginia National Guard accorded full military honors before he was laid to rest.
