Charles Marion Baker , 72, died Sept. 4, 1995.

He was a native of Plant City and a resident of Fort Pierce for 23 years, coming from West Palm Beach.

Mr. Baker was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the ETO, where he received the Bronze Star. He was the retired owner and operator of Quality Furniture of Fort Pierce.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Margaret Cate Baker of Fort Pierce; a daughter, Linda C. Baker of Atlantis, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Jack Lowery Jr. of Maryville, Tenn., and Cindy and Greg Rosslow of Fort Pierce; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles M. and JoAnne Baker , and Ronald and Cathy Baker , all of West Palm Beach; two sisters, Laverne T. Holbrook of Stuart and Sarah J. Rogers of Okeechobee; a brother, Marvin A. Baker of Homestead; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

SERVICES: Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Wednesday at Yates Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Owens officiating. Burial will follow in White City Cemetery.
