Wayne "Whitey" Rinehart, 71, of Flora, IL died at 7:25 AM Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born February 7, 1936 in Louisville, IL to Russell Albert & Beulah Elizabeth (Tolliver) Rinehart. He married Donna June Chandler on November 3, 1963 in Dallas, TX. She preceded him in death on May 4, 1992.
He was the past owner/operator of Flora Truck Service, an area farmer and a U.S. Army veteran. Whitey enjoyed truck driving always aware of locations being called "MAP" and directions of travel. He was also fond of dancing and in years prior enjoyed coon hunting.
He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law: Bill & Susan Rinehart of Flora; daughter & son-in-law: Waynette & Sam Nation of Salem; life partner: Sandy Thompson of Flora; brother: Carroll Lee Rinehart & wife Luetta of Chester; step-daughter: Seena Lewis of Flora; 6 grandchildren: Mark & Travis Rinehart, Ben & Tim Nation, Jessie Pettit, Bailey Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hoosier Prairie Cemetery, Louisville. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.
